Factory Manager | Medical Device

About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced Factory Manager from the Medical Device or Formulation Industry to lead the entire plant operations at our Bhimpore (Daman) facility. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in regulated manufacturing, quality compliance, production planning, manpower management, and end-to-end plant administration.
Key Responsibilities1. Factory Operations ManagementOversee daily factory operations, ensuring smooth production and timely delivery.Implement production plans based on customer orders and forecasting.Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and output efficiency.2. Regulatory & Quality ComplianceEnsure full compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, FDA, CDSCO, and other regulatory norms.Coordinate with QA/QC teams to maintain high-quality standards across all processes.Reduce deviations, non-conformities, and ensure readiness for regulatory audits.3. Production Planning & ExecutionLead production scheduling, batch planning, and work allocation.Supervise critical manufacturing processes used in medical devices or formulations.Maintain strict documentation and process control.4. Machinery & Maintenance OversightEnsure preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment.Plan machinery upgrades, calibration, validation, and facility improvements.5. Manpower & Team LeadershipLead, train, and supervise factory staff, technicians, and production teams.Manage manpower planning, shift handling, and performance evaluation.Encourage a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.6. Safety, EHS & ComplianceImplement safety protocols, EHS guidelines, and risk management practices.Conduct safety drills, audits, and ensure zero-accident operations.7. Inventory, Procurement & CoordinationCoordinate with purchase, stores, logistics, and supply chain teams.Maintain adequate stock of raw materials, consumables, and packaging items.Reduce wastage, rejections, and optimize cost control.8. MIS & Management ReportingPrepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports.Track KPIs such as yield, wastage, productivity, downtime, and efficiency.Support management in strategic planning and operational decisions.Candidate RequirementsMandatory: Experience in Medical Device or Formulation Industry.15–20 years of manufacturing/operations experience with minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role.Strong knowledge of regulated production environments.Excellent understanding of ISO, GMP, FDA, and audit documentation.Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage large teams and ensure end-to-end plant functioning.
