The FM serves as the primary on-site manager responsible for overseeing all facility operations, staff supervision, and client relationships. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational experience to ensure excellence in facility management services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the on-site facility management team
Develop and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact
Oversee all facility operations including maintenance, security, and building systems
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
Create and monitor operational budgets and financial performance metrics
Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
Qualifications:
10+ years' experience in facility management with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and industry regulations
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Proven track record of team leadership and development
Proficiency with facility management software and MS Office suite
Industry certifications (FMP, CFM, or IFMA) preferred
