Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all occupants. Your role will require strong leadership and project management skills to coordinate various maintenance activities, manage staff, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with experience in supervising teams and managing projects effectively. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Supervising maintenance staff and contractors, providing guidance and support as needed will also be a key part of your responsibilities. It will be essential for you to develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and oversee repair work and maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to schematics and safety standards. Regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or improvement will be necessary, as well as coordinating with external vendors for specialized repairs or services as required. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and compliance documentation, while leading projects related to facility upgrades or renovations to ensure timely completion within budget constraints. Promoting a culture of safety within the team by encouraging best practices and adherence to health regulations will also be a key aspect of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have proven experience in facilities management or a related field. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously will be crucial. Mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems is preferred, along with familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics. Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising experience in a maintenance environment are required, as well as proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required is essential for success in this role.
