Purpose of the Job:

  • Advise and assist the ULT Team in the fulfilment of its obligation - Statutory, ATL Global HSE, Quality, Technology, Internal Control Environment Standards or others, concerning prevention of any environmental incidents and maintaining an optimal environment footprint.
  • Understand and fulfil the compliance obligations emanating from the Environment Protection Act & Rules and the various other regulations under its umbrella as the Environment Officer of the Unit.
  • Drive the environment compliance and sustainability agenda across the Unit to ensure the risks caused by and / or inherent to Unit Operations are identified, assessed, preventive measures and mitigation plans are put in place to minimize the risks to environment and communicated to Unit personnel, business partners, community and statutory bodies in appropriate detail; compliance to these are monitored, audited and reviewed to ensure continual improvement in the performance.

  • Operations & Management of ETP + Pollution Monitoring & Control Equipment

Skills:

  • Understanding of GPCB Acts, Rules, and Notifications ·
  • Environmental monitoring and reporting (monthly/quarterly returns to GPCB) ·
  • Proficiency in Form I, IV, V (for hazardous waste, water cess, etc.) ·
  • Consent management under Water, Air & Hazardous Waste Acts ·
  • Operation & maintenance of pollution control equipment (ETP/STP/APC) ·
  • Handling of online portals: XGN, OCEMS, etc. ·
  • Sampling and analysis procedures as per GPCB norms ·
  • Liaising with GPCB officers during inspection and audits ·
  • Record keeping and documentation as per GPCB formats ·
  • Emergency response preparedness for environmental incidents ·
  • Environmental incident investigation and CAPA ·
  • Environmental risk assessment and mitigation ·
  • Waste management (hazardous and non-hazardous) ·
  • Sustainability and resource efficiency programs ·
  • Training and awareness program execution ·
  • Stakeholder and regulatory engagement.

Relevant Experience: Minimum 12 - 15 years’
Education Qualification(s): Degree/ Master in Environment
