Job Description

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Expected:

  • 1-2 years of experience in secondary research, social media research, media research, marketing or related project functions with similar experience in social media listening, social media analytics or related digital analytics.
  • Analytical abilities, ability to collect, interpret and analyze large social media data sets to make qualitative and quantitative assessments and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Understanding and experience working with major social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other specialized online networks such as reddit, quora etc.
  • Secondary research, structuring and analytical skills with knowledge of various online search engines.
  • Work with minimum supervision and collaborate effectively with teams/stakeholders when necessary. Ability to perform under pressure meeting deadlines with established priorities, along with organizing/handling multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a complex global business set up involving routine interaction with clients as well as off-shore stakeholders.
  • Experience in blogging, content writing, forum moderation will have additional consideration.

Roles and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Media Review:

     Research and identify relevant coverage from print, online, broadcast and social media channels. Differentiate/segment coverage into appropriate segments to analyze and summarize key interest items. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of social media data around various industry verticals for different brands, providing actionable insights and recommendations to serve as inputs to decision making.
  • Reports & Audits:

    Creating reports and synopsis for the aggregated coverage adding a strategic POV to bring out insights based on the analysis/review. Knowledge and understanding of different media sources with experience of handling multilingual assignments across geographies. Experience with KPIs like SOV, sentiment, reach, impressions, circulation numbers, etc

  • Tools:

     Proficiency in using tools/software such as Meltwater, Cision, Critical Mention, Brandwatch, Talkwalker etc., and work with databases like Factiva, LexisNexis, Hoovers, etc.
  • Training:

     Constantly upgrade skill sets to remain in line with new changes and updates being introduced into the secondary research and media research space.
