Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations and staff schedules.
  • Build a positive, disciplined, and high-performance team culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance improvement.

2. Menu Development & Creativity

  • Design and update innovative menus aligned with brand standards.
  • Test recipes to ensure exceptional flavor, presentation & consistency.
  • Source quality ingredients and incorporate seasonal trends.

3. Food Quality & Standards

  • Ensure every dish meets quality, taste & plating expectations.
  • Maintain portion control and recipe accuracy.
  • Conduct regular tastings and quality checks.

4. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage food cost, labor cost, and minimize wastage.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering & FIFO stock rotation.
  • Maintain supplier relationships for cost-effective sourcing.

5. Hygiene & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce HACCP and food safety standards at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance & safety of all equipment.
  • Train team on hygiene, sanitation & workplace safety.

6. Operational Coordination

  • Ensure smooth workflow and timely service during operations.
  • Coordinate with FOH for seamless communication.
  • Resolve service issues quickly to maintain guest satisfaction.

7. Team Development & Morale

  • Provide feedback, coaching & skill-development opportunities.
  • Lead training to improve efficiency and culinary standards.
  • Recognize performance and foster team motivation.

8. Guest Focus & Feedback

  • Understand and act on guest preferences and reviews.
  • Maintain high satisfaction and manage dietary requests.
  • Continuously improve based on insights & feedback.

9. Continuous Advancement

  • Stay updated with culinary trends and new techniques.
  • Review and improve kitchen systems and menu performance.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and learning.


Requirements & Skills

  • Proven Head Chef or Sous Chef experience in a professional, high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong leadership, creativity, and financial management skills.
  • Deep culinary expertise with strong communication and hygiene compliance.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure with strong time-management and stamina.
