Estimation Engineer

Job Overview

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for modular furniture and interior projects based on designs received from the design team. The role involves understanding technical drawings, materials, hardware specifications, and production processes to ensure precise project costing and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze interior design drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Work closely with the design, production, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy in material and labor costing.
• Use Aixperia software and other design-to-production tools to extract data for estimation.
• Maintain an updated database of materials, hardware, finishes, and vendor prices.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising design intent or quality.
• Prepare quotation sheets, client proposals, and project cost summaries.
• Coordinate with the sales and franchise teams to support pricing decisions.
• Verify and validate change orders and revised estimates during project execution.
• Ensure alignment with company standards, production capabilities, and delivery timelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Interior Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in modular furniture, interiors, or manufacturing estimation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and exposure to design-to-production software (Aixperia or similar).
• Strong understanding of joinery methods, hardware systems, and modular manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills across departments.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working with Italian or German modular furniture systems.
• Familiarity with marine plywood, laminates, PU finishes, and CNC production setups.
• Prior exposure to ERP or project management systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
