Estimation Engineer

Position: Estimation Engineer – Civil

Location: TDEC – Chennai Office

Job Description:

 Reviewing the drawings and specifications of the projects prepared by the design team, and accordingly creating the final detail or Bill of Quantities (BoQ)

 Reviews the Contract Documents to become acquainted with requirements and specifications of the project.

 Assists in developing and preparing Job Budget by activity based on the Contract.  Understand the Construction Civil system.

 Electrical load calculation of a project, existing load as well as proposed load with respect to criteria of HVAC equipment.

 Coordinating with Sub-Con/Supplier, Techno-commercial analysis of all the Material prior to material submittal

 Identifying the cost and time constraints

 Knowing the supply cost for each individual element.

 Determining the labor requirements for completing the project.

 Maintaining an civil cost database.

 Negotiating with the suppliers and vendors.

 Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors.

 Notifying to the client for any changes

 Completing the project bids as per the guidelines.

Desired profile of the candidate

 Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineer)

 Proven work experience as a cost estimator using mathematical skills.

 Working knowledge of MS Office applications with advanced MS. Excel skills and Candy Estimation Software Advantage.

 Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes.  Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

 Good verbal and written communication skills.

 Advanced analytical skills.

Experience: 7+ years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,758.37 - ₹50,000.00 per month
