Job Title: ESG Consultant climate change, decarbonization, or sustainable finance Location: Bangalore, Chennai, or Hyderabad (Candidates must be domiciled in one of these cities) Experience Required: 810 years Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Consulting / Sustainability / ESG About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) professional with a strong consulting background and deep understanding of the South Indian business landscape. The ideal candidate will bring credible experience in sustainability, climate change, and decarbonization, and will have demonstrated the ability to lead engagements through their full lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage ESG consulting projects across sectors with a focus on South Indian markets. Develop and implement sustainability strategies, climate risk assessments, and decarbonization roadmaps. Engage with clients to understand their ESG goals and deliver tailored solutions. Drive business development initiatives in the South, leveraging local market knowledge and networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery. Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations, frameworks, and best practices. Required Qualifications & Experience: 810 years of credible ESG experience , preferably in a consulting environment. Proven track record of working with local businesses in South India ; strong business development acumen in the region is essential. Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Climate Change, Sustainability, or related fields. Additional certifications or experience in climate change, decarbonization, or sustainable finance will be a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to manage projects through their complete lifecycle. Stable career history candidates should not have a pattern of frequent job changes. Fluency in South Indian languages (e.g., Kannada, Tamil, Telugu) is highly desirable. Must be a domicile of Bangalore, Chennai, or Hyderabad and committed to staying in the location (no relocation to other offices post-joining).
