Your role We are looking for an ESG and Impact Analyst to join the Investee Relations team. The ESG strategy ensures that in addition to generating impact, our portfolio companies commit to mitigate the negative environmental or social risks of their operations. In this regard, the ESG and Impact analyst will play a fundamental role overseeing ESG process. Key responsibilities Support collecting necessary documentation from prospective investees Conduct quantitative Pre-Screening of prospective investees and pre-assess IFC Performance Standards and IFC Corporate Governance Methodology Provide ESG categorisation Apply the Impact Scoring to quantitatively pre-assess a prospective investee's contribution to INOKS' four impact themes. Support preparing due diligence documentation, including: ESRI Factsheets Corporate Governance Factsheets Impact Factsheets Organise and correctly file the documents and data from investees to allow for easy access Input data in the factsheets and raise any missing inputs from the investees, to assist the team's qualitative analysis Assist summarising final analysis to collate ESG and impact sections in Final Investment Approval (FIA) documents Monitoring Assist in sending questionnaires and monitoring submissions Conduct first level Impact and ESG trend analysis of investees Identify missing KPIs or supporting documentation Reporting and Communications Contribute to the Annual Impact Report . Support collating the serious ESG-related incidents in the annual report. Support coordination with Investor Relations to create and refine presentations and materials that communicate the Impact and ESG Strategy, achievements, and key insights Skills and Qualifications Advanced university degree in economics, international development or business management along with strong technical skills. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to create detailed reports, analyse datasets and give presentations. Knowledge of the impact investment or development finance industry. Proven interest for sustainable development, emerging and frontier markets. Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and enhance analytical. Previous experience in Emerging Markets is a very strong asset. Good knowledge of agrifood value chains, renewable energy, climate finance, sustainability reporting (e.g. SFDR) would be a strong asset. Fluency in English is a must knowledge of French will be highly recommended. Command of other languages is considered an asset.
