Job Title: Installation Engineer – Elevator Industry Location: Bangalore Department: Installation & Commissioning Reports To: Installation Manager / Project Manager   Job Description (JD) Role Overview: The Installation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation of elevators,   and related systems at project sites. They ensure that installations comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination: Review technical drawings, specifications, and installation plans. Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and clients for smooth execution. Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and manpower before starting the installation. Installation Execution: Supervise installation activities, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols. Conduct pre-installation site inspections and resolve any technical issues. Ensure proper alignment, wiring, and commissioning of elevator systems. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance: Adhere to international and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards). Conduct quality checks during and after installation to ensure operational efficiency. Address non-conformance issues and take corrective actions. Testing & Commissioning: Conduct system testing, load tests, and safety checks before handover. Troubleshoot and resolve any performance issues before final client inspection. Work closely with Quality and Service teams for smooth project closure. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain installation records, daily progress reports, and material usage logs. Prepare handover reports, as-built drawings, and client sign-offs. Report challenges, delays, and technical issues to management. Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a point of contact for clients regarding installation status. Provide technical guidance and training to site technicians. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues.   Key Performance Areas (KPA) Installation Efficiency – Timely completion of projects without rework. Safety Compliance – Zero accidents or safety violations at the site. Quality Assurance – Meeting industry standards and company quality benchmarks. Customer Satisfaction – Positive feedback from clients on installation quality. Project Documentation – Proper and timely submission of reports and records. Cost Control – Optimal use of materials and manpower to stay within budget. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting – Effective resolution of technical challenges.   Key Result Indicators (KRI) Installation Time Adherence – % of projects completed within the scheduled timeline. Safety Performance – Number of incidents, near-misses, or safety violations. Quality Score – Number of defects, reworks, or client complaints. Customer Feedback Rating – Client satisfaction score post-installation. Technical Issue Resolution Time – Average time taken to resolve site issues. Material & Cost Efficiency – % deviation from the estimated budget. Handover Success Rate – % of projects handed over without pending issues.
