Equity Research Analyst – AIF

Mangal Keshav AIF – Category II Alternative Investment Fund

Mangal Keshav AIF is a newly launched Category II fund focused on value-oriented investments in mostly unlisted mid-market opportunities. We are seeking a highly analytical and independent Equity Research Analyst with strong buy-side experience to support our fund managers in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring investment opportunities.

·     Perform due diligence including site visits, promoter background checks, and peer benchmarking.

·     Conduct deep-dive research on private companies across sectors to generate high-conviction investment ideas.

·     Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuation outputs using DCF, relative valuation, and other methods.

·     Track and analyze earnings announcements, sector developments, and macroeconomic trends impacting portfolio performance.

·     Work closely with fund managers to align research with portfolio construction strategy and asset allocation.

·     Prepare investment memos, presentations, and periodic research reports for internal and external stakeholders.

·     Attend AGMs, earnings calls, analyst meets, and management interactions for existing and potential portfolio companies.

·     Support quarterly fund updates, factsheets, and investor presentation materials as per mandate requirements.

·     • Education: CA or CFA preferred; MBA (Finance) with strong accounting background may also apply.

·     Experience: 2–5 years in equity research, investment analysis, or buy-side research.

·     Sector Exposure: Flexibility to cover multi-sector opportunities; preference for small/mid-cap familiarity.

·     Technical: Strong in Excel modeling, valuations, and financial statement analysis.

·     Other Skills: Excellent writing and presentation skills; ability to form and defend an investment thesis independently.

·     Personality: Curious, self-driven, and passionate about value investing and market inefficiencies.

·     Experience in primary research (site visits, management interviews).

·     Working knowledge of Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Screener, or similar tools.

·    Understanding of AIF regulations, compliance reporting, and portfolio attribution.
