Engineering Manager

.In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team of C++ and JavaScript developers to build and optimize AI SDKs for local deployment. You will oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality code, and adherence to architectural best practices. Your role will involve strategic planning, resource allocation, sprint management, and mentorship to foster team growth. You will collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to ensure platform compatibility and seamless integration. The position offers the opportunity to drive innovation in edge computing applications, working on AI frameworks that leverage low-level hardware optimizations. You will be a key contributor to advancing AI capabilities while maintaining an environment that encourages efficiency, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Accountabilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers, setting clear milestones, conducting code reviews, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features
- Organize team workflows, including resource allocation, sprint planning, and performance evaluations to drive productivity and team growth
- Collaborate with product management, research, and cross-functional teams to ensure SDK compatibility and resolve integration issues
- Maintain high technical standards, enforcing robust architectural practices and best engineering principles
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering skill development, innovation, and effective problem-solving
- Facilitate communication and alignment between stakeholders, ensuring technical decisions support strategic objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in C++ and JavaScript development, including proven engineering management experience leading SDK or similar software projects
- Hands-on experience with architecture design, team scaling, and overseeing complex development initiatives
- Strong understanding of AI frameworks and low-level hardware optimizations, including GPU/CPU acceleration, tensor operations, and memory management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with experience leading large teams (40+ members)
- Ability to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable software delivery in fast-paced environments
Preferred:
- Experience with AI SDKs such as TensorFlow Lite, ONNX Runtime, or similar tools for local deployment
- Familiarity with cross-platform development, including WebAssembly for JavaScript integration with C++ backends
