Engineering Manager

in

India

.In this role, you will lead a high-performing product engineering team in India, overseeing the development and operational management of modern data and cloud platforms. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating closely with global leadership to execute product roadmaps and delivery goals. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic management, including mentoring engineers, defining career paths, and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment. You will guide multi-cloud infrastructure operations, develop automation tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and products. The role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on cloud and data platform solutions while shaping a culture of technical growth and operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance for the product engineering team, including code reviews, architecture oversight, and execution of delivery goals
  • Oversee multi-cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Snowflake operations, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, RBAC, security, and cost optimization
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to manage access controls, compliance processes, vulnerability management, and audit readiness
  • Drive product and project management initiatives, gathering feedback, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring projects align with business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional tooling initiatives, documentation, automation, and POCs to improve operational efficiency and team productivity
  • Mentor, manage, and grow a high-performing engineering team in India, ensuring engagement, skill development, and low attrition
  • Foster collaboration with US-based leadership, product, security, IT, and customer teams to enhance global operations and product offerings

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and platform operations, with hands-on coding and technical oversight
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, mentoring, and career development
  • Expertise in AWS and familiarity with at least one other cloud platform (GCP or Azure), with strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, ECS/Fargate, and cloud security governance
  • Experience with data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and Sigma Computing
  • Understanding of security, compliance frameworks, SOC 2 audit support, and vulnerability remediation
  • Proven track record of delivering against long-term and short-term goals, roadmaps, and OKRs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent English communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture
