What You Will Do

• Take ownership of products under your purview, supporting the existing product portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance the product portfolio.
• Engage in design projects as needed, applying engineering fundamentals to manage design tasks effectively.
• Participate in and lead SPO projects.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers, supervisors, other engineering groups, and manufacturing plants.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the product development process, from conceptualization to design of connectors.
• Select appropriate materials and review FEA reports for design validation.
• Optimize designs to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Document and report on design processes and outcomes.
• Manage design projects from conception to production, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Track project milestones, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Previous experience as a Product Design Engineer.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in product design, with additional expertise in plastic and sheet metal design
• Understanding of the product development process.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering specifications.
• Knowledgeable about material properties and selection criteria for product components, considering performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM, GD&T, etc.
• Flexible and adaptable to organizational needs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
