Job Summary: The Engineer – Installation & Maintenance will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation, and preventive maintenance of equipment used in solar panel (PV module, cell & ingot wafer) manufacturing lines. The role ensures smooth production operations, minimal downtime, and adherence to high-quality standards across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, align, and commission machinery and equipment for the solar panel production line (e.g., stringer, laminator, EL tester, framing, junction box, etc.). • Install, commission, and validate process equipment such as diffusion furnaces, PECVD, texturing and cleaning systems, screen printers, firing furnaces, and wet benches. • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of production equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation. • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults efficiently and implement corrective measures. • Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for equipment calibration, spare part replacement, and system upgrades. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and automation-related issues in process tools. • Support production teams in optimizing equipment performance and process efficiency. • Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience: • Education: - ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering. • Experience: - 2–5 years in equipment installation and maintenance within a solar module & cell manufacturing plant or a similar automated production environment. • Technical Skills: • Hands-on experience with electrical panels, PLCs, sensors, pneumatic & hydraulic systems. • Understanding of manufacturing line layout and utility requirements (compressed air, vacuum, power, etc.).
Key Competencies: • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. • Excellent teamwork, coordination, and communication skills. • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
