Job Summary

The DCS Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing and improving the performance of the data centre infrastructure. The focus of the role is to optimise the efficiency of the data centre, ensuring continuous availability and reliability of critical systems and equipment.Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coordinate a team of problem engineers to investigate problems, implement solutions and take preventative measures
• Identify and resolve emerging and recurring problems, picking up feeds from numerous sources across the organisation
• Perform root cause analysis to minimise the adverse impact of incidents, minimising down-time and broader organisational risk
• Develop and implement permanent solutions to known problems, addressing root causes and preventing the risk of recurrence
• Work closely with major incident and change managers to stop incidents such as regular service outages recurring, ensuring the successful implementation of corrective and preventative actions
• Create and maintain documentation outlining problem management activities such as root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions
• Design and measure KPIs to monitor the success and impact of problem management processes
• Regularly communicate progress updates on problem management activities with both internal stakeholders and external clients
• Support knowledge management by sharing known problem resolutions, best practices and corrective and preventative measures
