Job Title: Energy Efficiency Subject Matter Expert – Carbon ProjectsLocation: NoidaEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Head of Projects Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Energy Efficiency Expert to lead the technical development and implementation of energy-saving and carbon reduction projects, particularly within industrial and commercial energy systems. This role focuses on identifying energy optimisation opportunities, conducting audits, and supporting decarbonisation strategies aligned with national and international carbon standards (VCS, CDM, GS) and compliance schemes such as India’s PAT and ISO 50001.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in energy efficiency, project management experience, and a deep understanding of energy use in industrial and infrastructure contexts. Key Responsibilities1. Energy Efficiency Project Design & ExecutionLead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of energy efficiency and optimisation initiatives.Conduct detailed energy audits and feasibility studies across various energy-intensive sectors.Design technical measures for energy savings, emissions reduction, and cost optimisation.Support M&V protocol development in accordance with IPMVP, ISO 50001, or BEE guidelines.2. Carbon Project SupportCollaborate with the carbon team to quantify emission reductions resulting from energy-saving measures.Ensure alignment of energy efficiency activities with global carbon certification frameworks (VCS, CDM, GS).Support the preparation of documentation for validation, verification, and issuance processes.3. Stakeholder and Regulatory EngagementLiaise with energy managers, sustainability heads, and third-party verifiers.Ensure compliance with BEE regulations, PAT scheme, and other statutory requirements.Represent the company in discussions with regulatory authorities, certification agencies, and industry associations.4. Technical Analysis & ReportingUse modelling tools, spreadsheet analysis, and energy benchmarking databases to track project performance.Prepare energy balance sheets, emissions reduction reports, and financial assessments of EE projects.Deliver clear, actionable reporting for internal and external stakeholders.5. Training & Knowledge TransferTrain and mentor internal teams on energy management best practices.Conduct capacity-building sessions for clients and partners. QualificationsEssential Education:Master’s degree in Energy Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Preferred Certification: Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from BEE.Essential Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of experience in energy audits, energy efficiency projects, and carbon reduction planning.Proven experience implementing projects under PAT, ISO 50001, or related schemes.Familiarity with M&V protocols and industrial energy systems.Overall, 6-8 years of experience. SkillsStrong technical understanding of industrial energy use, process integration, and systems optimisation.Skilled in use of energy analysis tools and software.Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project reporting skills.Ability to work across diverse sectors including manufacturing, utilities, and commercial buildings. Desirable QualificationsExperience in ESCO project implementation.Experience in integrating energy efficiency within carbon offset projects.Knowledge of national/international energy policies and incentive programs. Working ConditionsTravel to industrial sites and facilities will be required.Ability to work with diverse teams across energy and sustainability verticals.
