Embedded QA

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Embedded QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing embedded systems, firmware, and hardware–software integrations to ensure reliable performance and compliance with design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software and systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of embedded devices.
• Work closely with embedded developers and hardware engineers to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Conduct debugging using hardware tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
• Validate firmware updates and perform release testing on various hardware platforms.
• Document defects clearly and track them through the resolution process.
• Participate in code reviews, requirement analysis, and design discussions to ensure testability.
• Support automation of test cases where applicable.
• Prepare and maintain QA reports, test documentation, and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in embedded testing or QA (fresher roles can be adapted).
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware concepts.
• Experience with testing tools and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Modbus.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming and scripting languages (Python preferred).
• Experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience with automation testing frameworks for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of RTOS-based systems and hardware debugging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Exposure to IoT devices or hardware validation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,349.58 - ₹46,026.38 per month
