Role Overview

Embedded Engineer


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and debug embedded firmware using

    C/C++

    .
  • Work with microcontrollers such as

    STM32, SAM, or similar ARM-based MCUs

    .
  • Develop and maintain

    low-level drivers

    for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO, ADC, etc.).
  • Implement and support applications using

    RTOS

    (FreeRTOS or equivalent).
  • Handle interrupts, timers, and task scheduling for real-time systems.
  • Support

    hardware bring-up

    , board testing, and system integration.
  • Perform firmware debugging using

    JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers

    , and debuggers.
  • Collaborate with hardware, QA, and system engineers during product development.
  • Develop unit tests and assist in integration and validation testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation including design notes and test reports.
  • Follow coding standards, version control practices, and development workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering

    , or a related field.
  • 1–6 years of experience

    in embedded firmware development.
  • Strong proficiency in

    Embedded C / C++

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers

    .
  • Understanding of

    embedded systems architecture

    .
  • Experience with

    RTOS concepts

    (tasks, semaphores, queues, interrupts).
  • Knowledge of serial communication protocols (

    UART, SPI, I2C

    ).
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.
  • Experience with

    Git or other version control systems

    .
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with communication protocols such as

    CAN, USB, Ethernet

    .
  • Exposure to

    bootloaders, firmware upgrades, or secure firmware

    .
  • Knowledge of

    power management and low-power design

    .
  • Scripting experience (Python) for testing or automation.
  • Experience working in

    Agile/Scrum development environments

    .
  • Exposure to Qt or PC-based tools for testing/debugging (optional).
