Electrical Site Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Site Engineer for ground-mounted solar projects, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the electrical aspects of solar installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with the project management team to develop electrical designs and plans for ground-mounted solar installations, including layout, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.

• Project Coordination and Material Management: Coordinate with project teams to source electrical materials and equipment required for the project. Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of all electrical components.

• Installation Supervision: Oversee the electrical installation process, including cable laying, mounting of inverters, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical components. Ensure adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.

• Commissioning and Testing: Conduct commissioning activities, including system testing, performance verification, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Collaborate with commissioning engineers to ensure successful energization of the solar plant.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote a culture of safety on-site by enforcing HSE policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly to maintain a safe working environment.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, testing procedures, and commissioning reports. Generate progress reports and communicate project updates to the project management team regularly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV projects, preferably ground-mounted systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV projects, preferably ground-mounted systems.
