Electrical - Fire Alarm System Engineer

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and implementation of Fire alarm systems in an EPC context or specialized system vendor/manufacturer in the

  Oil & Gas, Petrochemical

  , or industrial sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm system components, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.

• Reports to the Lead Engineer (LE)
• Design Fire alarm systems in accordance with local, national, and international Fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, BS).
• Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for Fire alarm systems.
• Carry out procurement activities such as MR, TBE, Vendor print review etc. for Fire Alarm System.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and construction managers, to integrate Fire alarm systems into overall project designs.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine Fire alarm system requirements and optimal solutions.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of Fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance as part of Field Engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to Fire Alarm system.
• Ensure that Fire alarm systems are compliant with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Manage vendors and contractors for Fire Alarm systems procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Provide technical support and training to other engineers, technicians, and clients regarding Fire alarm systems.
• Work closely with the project management team to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Participate in vendor/ subcontractor meetings
• Model Review in Navis Works / Working experience in AutoCAD
• Familiarity with ISO/Quality control procedures.

Other Desirable Requirements

• Certification in Fire protection engineering (e.g., NICET, CFPS).
• Experience with integrated Fire protection systems, including suppression and detection.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems for Fire alarm applications.
• Willing for overseas office / site deputation
