Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, execution, and commissioning of electrical systems for power projects. This includes overseeing activities related to power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering
• Develop and review electrical system designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load flow studies, protection coordination, and control schemes.
• Specify and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, protection relays, and power control systems.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Project Execution
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Supervise contractors, vendors, and field engineers to ensure compliance with design and quality requirements.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure timely completion.
• Technical Analysis
• Perform system studies (short circuit, load flow, harmonics, grounding) using relevant software (ETAP, DIgSILENT, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and operation phases.
• Standards & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to international and local electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Implement and monitor electrical safety standards and quality assurance procedures.
• Coordination & Documentation
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and control teams to ensure smooth integration of systems.
• Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 3–10 years of experience in power projects (generation, transmission, or distribution).
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, protection systems, and control systems.
• Proficient in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, MATLAB, etc.).
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) practices in power systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Involvement in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects.
• Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, etc.) or substations (HV/MV).
• Hands-on experience with commissioning and testing of electrical systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,278.58 - ₹46,477.92 per month
