Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical E-Commerce Accounts Specialist to manage and optimize financial transactions, account reconciliations, and reporting across our e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with marketplace accounts such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, or similar, and strong knowledge of e-commerce finance operations.


Key Responsibilities:

E-Commerce Account Management

• Monitor daily sales transactions, returns, and settlements across platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, etc.)

• Reconcile payouts with invoices and marketplace statements.

• Coordinate with marketplaces for payment discrepancies, chargebacks, and claims.

• Manage onboarding and documentation for new marketplace accounts.

Accounting & Reconciliation

• Perform regular reconciliation of sales, commissions, fees, and returns.

• Ensure accurate recording of income and expenses for e-commerce channels.

• Liaise with the internal finance team for monthly closing activities.

• Maintain GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance related to online sales.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate periodic sales, payment, and deduction reports from marketplaces.

• Analyze trends in fees, chargebacks, or deductions and recommend cost-saving strategies.

• Assist in preparing dashboards and financial reports for management.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and operations teams to resolve order-level discrepancies.

• Communicate with marketplace support teams to address financial issues or system errors.

• Support internal and external audits related to e-commerce accounts.


Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in e-commerce account management, preferably in a multi-platform environment.

• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Shopify, etc.

• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other e-commerce-specific taxation.

• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of digital marketing metrics and their financial implications.

• Certification in e-commerce or finance-related tools is a plus.
