About Us:

Drone Sports India is the country’s first drone soccer esports company, bringing innovation, technology, and excitement together. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Drone Engineer to join our team in Pune. This is an in-person role for someone who not only loves working on drones but can also inspire others through workshops, classes, and live demos.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain drones specifically for drone soccer
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with drones
• Perform soldering, wiring, and other hands-on drone engineering tasks
• Assemble, maintain, and manage the Drone Soccer Arena setup
• Maintain an inventory checklist of drones, spare parts, and equipment
• Ensure proper upkeep and preventive maintenance of drones and arena equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance drone technology and gameplay experience
• Stay updated with the latest drone technologies and ensure compliance with safety regulations (DGCA, FIDA, DSAI, Digisky, and other government bodies) for smooth operations
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients
• Configure, tune, and optimize drones using open-source platforms such as Betaflight and other supported firmware/software

Training & Education:

• Conduct engaging drone soccer classes for kids, teaching drone operation and gameplay
• Execute live drone demonstrations and presentations for corporate events
• Create and maintain technical curriculum and documentation for workshops, training, and internal knowledge sharing
• Support franchise, school, and college programs by delivering hands-on flying & learning experiences

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in drone engineering or related fields
• Strong skills in drone design, assembly, soldering, and maintenance
• Experience with Robotics and Aerospace Engineering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel up to 30% for events and workshops
• Previous teaching, workshop, or training experience is a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Proficiency with drone-related software, tools, and diagnostics
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and work commitment
• Hands-on experience with open-source flight controller software (e.g., Betaflight, Ardupilot, iNav)
• Ability to customize PID tuning, flight modes, and safety parameters
