About this opportunity:

The L3 RAN Level Assurance Engineer is responsible for 2nd-level assurance and fault management across RAN technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G). The role focuses on triaging and resolving jeopardy alerts and customer-impacting faults within defined SLAs/WLAs, coordinating with field operations, L2/L3 teams, vendors and customers, and maintaining high operational standards in a 24x7 environment.

What you will do:

  • Monitor, triage and resolve jeopardy alerts and fault tickets within SLA/WLA targets.
  • Perform initial ticket triage: analyse fault tickets, determine root cause where possible, and route accurately to L2/L3 or external vendors with clear instructions.
  • Maintain clear, concise and complete ticket notes (actions taken, access requests, approvals, timestamps, references) to make handovers executable.
  • Act as first point of contact for fault-related issues and escalate to management when required.
  • Drive incident and problem management activities: own critical trouble tickets, coordinate RCA and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate vendor (3PP) engagement and manage vendor SLAs and support contracts as needed.
  • Provide Level 1/2 support for customer complaints and ensure timely updates and closure.
  • Monitor system alarms and execute escalation matrices for BSC/RNC/RBS/hardware/transmission faults.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities such as daily health-checks, fallback reports and take corrective actions.
  • Use and manage OSS/ENM/Ticketing tools and authorized 3PP tools per project requirement.
  • Prioritise faults to meet business KPIs and deliver operational excellence to internal/external customers.

The skills you bring:

  • Solid knowledge of RNC/BSC/RBS/NR nodes and fronthaul/transport equipment (SIU, routers, DWDM, HPA, DAS, train repeaters).
  • Deep familiarity with RAN KPI’s (2G/3G/4G/5G), call flows, channel concepts, handover behaviour and cell-site issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Ericsson, Huawei and/or Nokia RAN equipment and ENM/OSS tools.
  • Basic to intermediate Linux/Unix knowledge for log analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Core/IP architecture and ability to correlate core issues affecting access network.
  • Real-time critical trouble ticket handling experience for customer complaint resolution.
  • Experience performing health-checks, fallback analysis and preventive maintenance on RNC/BSC.

Qualification And Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • 1–5 years of relevant telecom experience in RAN operations, fault management or field support.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel on-site as per terms.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical fault tickets and route accurately within KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience handling fault tickets end-to-end and coordinating fixes.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, 24x7 environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prepare concise reports and adapt communication to the audience.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
