Job Description

1. POSITION VACANT: Director - Programs (Livelihoods & Women-led Entrepreneurship), Delhi/ NCR


2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:


Our client is a reputed CSR-driven non-profit organization working at the intersection of technology and social impact. The organization focuses on expanding access to skills, entrepreneurship, and livelihoods for underrepresented groups, with a strong emphasis on leveraging digital tools and innovation for inclusive growth.



(A) Strategy and Program Leadership:

(1) Design and deliver program strategies that promote technology-enabled skilling, inclusion, and entrepreneurship opportunities for women and underserved communities.

(2) Provide supervisory and strategic inputs to enhance integration and expansion of existing portfolios into new geographies.

(3) Stay abreast of global and national trends in tech-for-development and social innovation, ensuring programs remain relevant and impactful.

(4) Lead the design of scalable models that advance economic empowerment through technology-driven solutions.


(B) Program Design, Delivery and Impact:

(1) Oversee end-to-end program lifecycle including design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

(2) Ensure program quality, timely delivery, and measurable impact by working with cross-functional teams.

(3) Build models designed for scale, sustainability, and systemic impact, using human-centered design and data analytics.

(4) Embed a strong culture of monitoring, learning, and adaptive programming.

(5) Collaborate with communications and impact teams to capture and showcase results, case studies, and success stories.


(C) Resource Mobilization and Partnerships:

(1) Build and nurture partnerships with corporates, government, academic institutions, startups, and civil society actors.

(2) Represent the organization at relevant platforms to position its work as an exemplar in the technology-for-social-good ecosystem.

(3) Develop and implement a robust resource mobilization strategy, engaging CSR donors and philanthropies.

(4) Prepare concept notes, proposals, and high-impact presentations for fundraising pitches.


(D) People Leadership and Organizational Contribution:

(1) Lead and mentor program teams working on tech-enabled inclusion and entrepreneurship initiatives.

(2) Collaborate with advocacy, communications, finance, and M&E teams to ensure integrated delivery.

(3) Promote organizational values of inclusion, innovation, and impact.

(4) Contribute to financial planning, efficient resource allocation, and risk management.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Qualification:

Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Gender Studies, Technology for Development, or related field.


Experience:

(1) At least 15 years of progressive experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership positions in non-profit, CSR, multilateral, or social enterprise sectors.

(2) Proven expertise in tech-enabled social impact programs, livelihood and inclusive entrepreneurship, or employability skilling, with a track record of designing and scaling large interventions.

(3) Strong experience managing multi-crore budgets, multi-location programs, and large teams.

(4) Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders across corporate, government, and civil society.

(5) Exposure to technology-led development initiatives is desirable.


Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.

(2) Excellent written and verbal communication, with proven stakeholder engagement and representation skills.

(3) Demonstrated expertise in building and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships.

(4) Strong analytical orientation; adept at leveraging data and evidence for program design and impact measurement.

(5) Familiarity with CSR law, global development frameworks (SDGs), and DEI practices.

(6) Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, foster collaboration, and promote innovation and inclusion.
