Director – Master Data Management (MDM) & Data Governance
to lead PwC’s MDM and Data Governance capability within the India Acceleration Center. The Director will be responsible for shaping and scaling the practice, driving client engagements, and ensuring excellence in delivery across major MDM and data governance platforms including
Informatica, Reltio, Stibo, Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, and others
. This leader will also play a pivotal role in supporting business development activities such as RFP responses, solutioning, and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership
- Build and scale the MDM, Data Quality, and Data Governance practice in the India AC, establishing strong delivery frameworks, accelerators, and best practices.
- Lead the development of offerings and solutions leveraging PwC’s global assets, accelerators, and alliance partnerships.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data management professionals across multiple competencies.
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Partner with global PwC teams to support sales cycles, including RFP/RFI responses, client presentations, and solution architecture.
- Collaborate with alliance partners (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Stibo, Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, SAP MDG) to co-develop solutions and drive joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Engage with client leadership to advise on enterprise data strategies covering MDM, governance, data quality, cataloging, and lineage.
Delivery Excellence
- Lead large-scale MDM, Data Quality, and Data Governance transformation programs across industries.
- Ensure high-quality delivery by applying PwC methodologies, governance frameworks, and platform-specific implementation expertise.
- Oversee program management, stakeholder communication, and resolution of escalations.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Contribute to PwC’s intellectual property by developing accelerators, frameworks, and industry POVs across MDM, Data Quality, Cataloging, and Lineage.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML-driven data stewardship, metadata-driven automation, and cloud-native governance to advise clients on next-gen approaches.
Required Skills & Experience
- Relevant least 8–10 years in MDM/Data Governance leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in leading MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM/MDG, Reltio, Stibo STEP, SAP MDG, TIBCO EBX.
- Hands-on experience with data governance and metadata management platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, Informatica Axon/EIC.
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks (profiling, monitoring, remediation) and tools (Ataccama, Informatica DQ, Talend, Trillium, etc.).
- Knowledge of data lineage and cataloging approaches for cloud and hybrid data ecosystems.
- Proven ability to design enterprise data strategies, governance frameworks, data quality programs, and operating models.
- Strong business development experience – demonstrated success in RFP responses, solutioning, proposal writing, and client presentations.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a global consulting firm or large-scale system integrator.
- MBA or equivalent management degree preferred.
- Certification(s) in MDM, Data Governance, Data Quality, or Catalog tools.
- Exposure to industry-specific solutions for customer, product, supplier, and financial domains.
