Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 1800000 - Rs 2400000 (ie INR 18-24 LPA)

Azure DevOps Engineer

to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure supporting the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enabling seamless deployments, ensuring environment stability, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and setup of scalable infrastructure to support software development and deployment.
Develop and manage automated deployment pipelines for applications using CI/CD tools.
Monitor production environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently and proactively.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of new features and updates.
Work with cross-functional teams (Security, Network, Storage) to ensure infrastructure security and reliability.
Continuously enhance infrastructure architecture to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Provide mentorship to junior team members and promote best practices in DevOps.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance system performance.
Contribute to team growth by participating in hiring processes.
Provide regular infrastructure performance updates and project progress reports.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
Expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure; exposure to AWS and GCP is a plus.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt).
Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
Strong CI/CD experience, particularly using Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, or Node.js.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
