Are you the DevOps wizard who sees infrastructure chaos as an irresistible puzzle? The engineer who gets a thrill from transforming tangled legacy systems into elegant, automated solutions? We're not looking for someone to maintain status quo—we need a visionary who can look at our diverse portfolio of acquired products and architect a unified AWS ecosystem that never sleeps. While most organizations silo their tech stacks, we're boldly moving in the opposite direction. We're strategically consolidating our infrastructure to maximize efficiency across our entire portfolio. This role isn't about babysitting servers; it's about reimagining how our systems work together, creating order from complexity, and building automation that makes your own job obsolete. You'll be the mastermind behind our infrastructure migrations, performance optimization, and AI-driven automation initiatives. When something breaks, you'll diagnose and fix it. When systems need migration, you'll orchestrate seamless transitions with minimal downtime. And throughout it all, you'll leverage AI/ML to automate repetitive tasks, freeing yourself for higher-impact work. Best of all? You'll have the authority to implement your vision without navigating bureaucratic approval mazes. If you're energized by complex challenges, thrive when working across multiple technology stacks, and have a passion for creating order from chaos, you'll find your calling here. But if you need constant direction, prefer working with pristine new systems, or shy away from ownership, this environment isn't for you. Ready to transform our infrastructure landscape? Let's talk!
What You Will Be Doing
- Architecting and executing sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including migrating legacy systems to AWS and performing seamless lift-and-shift operations
- Creating comprehensive monitoring frameworks and developing intelligent automations for system oversight, deployment pipelines, and operational processes
- Taking ownership of critical infrastructure functions including proactive monitoring, backup management, incident resolution, database migration/configuration, and AWS cost optimization
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Drowning in ticket management and redundant status updates - we empower solution-drivers, not process-followers
- Perpetuating technical debt - you'll have the mandate to modernize and improve our systems
- Waiting for permission to fix critical issues - you'll have the autonomy to implement solutions when they're needed
- Operating within restrictive technical boundaries - this role demands versatility and comprehensive expertise
- Struggling to secure resources for essential improvements - we recognize infrastructure as a strategic investment
DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Champion reliability and standardization across our expanding product ecosystem by implementing state-of-the-art monitoring, intelligent automation solutions, and AWS architectural best practices.
Basic Requirements
- Extensive AWS platform mastery (our core infrastructure platform - experience with other clouds alone is insufficient)
- Advanced programming capabilities in Python or JavaScript for developing automation tools and infrastructure utilities
- Proven track record managing and migrating production-grade databases across multiple engines (MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Expert-level containerization skills with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Comprehensive Linux systems administration knowledge
