Hiring: DevOps Engineer (1+ Year Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and be proficient in cloud technologies. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating Systems & System Administration

• Linux/Unix

  : Most DevOps environments are built on Linux/Unix, so a strong command of these systems is crucial.

• Windows Server

  : Knowledge of Windows environments for enterprises that use hybrid systems.

• Scripting

  : Shell scripting, PowerShell, or Python for automating tasks.

Version Control Systems

• Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket

  : Managing code, versioning, and collaboration.

• Branching and Merging Strategies

  : Expertise in handling different code branches, managing merges, and resolving conflicts.

CI/CD Pipelines

• Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, Travis CI

  : Building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Automated Testing

  : Integrating testing within pipelines (e.g., unit tests, integration tests).

Containerization and Orchestration

• Docker

  : Packaging applications into containers.

• Kubernetes, Docker Swarm

  : Managing and orchestrating containerized applications across clusters.

Cloud Platforms

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

  : Experience with cloud infrastructure, services, and solutions.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  : Using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager for provisioning infrastructure.

Monitoring and Logging

• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk

  : Setting up and managing monitoring solutions.

• Alerting and Incident Response

  : Implementing alert systems and responding to incidents.

Networking & Security

• Networking Basics

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience:

  Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Experience with EC2, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
