Role & responsibilities

A DevOps Engineer bridges the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring fast and reliable software delivery. This role focuses on automation, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure management, and system reliability.. Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments. Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows. Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Ensure security and compliance across deployment processes. Maintain and improve system reliability, scalability, and performanceRequired qualifications to be successful in this role• Experience supporting application environments across Development, QA, and Production.• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and source control systems (Git, Bitbucket).• Working knowledge of Windows server administration and virtualization platforms (vSphere/VMware).• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application runtime issues.• Familiarity with ITSM processes and ticketing frameworks.Must have Skills• Windows Server Administration• CI/CD Pipeline Management (Jenkins)• Scripting (Shell / PowerShell / Batch) for automation and deployment tasks• Source Control (Git & Bitbucket) + Issue Tracking (JIRA)• VMware / vSphere VM provisioning & management• Basic SQL and database operational understanding• Understanding of release process, environment flows, and configuration management• Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skillsGood to have Skills-• Knowledge of Apache/Tomcat server configuration and JVM tuning• Understanding of patching, security compliance, and vulnerability management• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning and execution• Experience preparing audit evidence and compliance documentation
