Desktop Support Engineer

As a Hardware and Software Support Specialist, your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues on desktops, laptops, and MacBooks. You will be responsible for performing installations, upgrades, and maintenance of operating systems and applications. Additionally, you will manage and troubleshoot Access Points and Switches to ensure optimal network performance and resolve connectivity issues. Your responsibilities will also include setting up and maintaining audio-video conferencing systems, as well as providing real-time support during meetings to address technical challenges. You will conduct regular checks on IT equipment to ensure smooth operation, maintain an inventory of IT assets, and ensure compliance with company policies. In terms of user support and training, you will assist end-users with technical queries and provide training when necessary. It will be important for you to document common issues and solutions for future reference. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (preferred). - Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and other operating systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, network devices, and software applications. - Familiarity with network configurations and device management (Access Points, Switches). - Experience with audio-video conferencing tools (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
