Desktop Support Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in desktop/laptop troubleshooting, software installation, system configuration, and user support. The role requires strong communication skills, quick problem-solving ability, and the capability to manage multiple technical tasks efficiently.

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹16,000 (In-hand)

Qualification: Diploma or Degree in IT Field

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, Install, configure, and update operating systems, hardware, software, and applications.
• Provide technical support to end-users through phone, email, remote access, and in-person.
• Maintain logs of issues and resolutions for future reference.
• Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex or escalated issues.
• Ensure proper implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
• Support network connectivity issues and basic LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop support or a related IT role

• Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and mobile devices

• Good understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques

• Experience with ITSM tools, ticketing systems, and remote support applications

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
