Desktop Support Engineer (Dhan)

As a Desktop Support professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and efficient IT environment. Your support will directly impact end-user productivity and business continuity. You will handle a wide range of IT support tasks—from onboarding new employees and managing user accounts to resolving technical issues and maintaining IT asset inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution of user-reported IT issues through the ticketing system (User Support & Ticket Resolution).
• Execute end-to-end onboarding setup for new joiners including system provisioning, account creation, and orientation support.
• Handle IT processes related to exits, including system deactivation, asset retrieval, and data backup.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle – procurement, tagging, inventory tracking, and disposal.
• Perform desktop/laptop imaging, OS installation, and hardware/software deployment.
• Conduct regular patch management and ensure antivirus software is updated across systems.
• Provide support for printers, scanners, and meeting room display/casting systems.
• Administer local and domain user accounts including access rights, password resets, and profile setups.
• Maintain and update internal knowledge base and process documentation to ensure consistency in support operations.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, desktop/laptop hardware, and enterprise applications.
• Proficient in Active Directory, user account management (local/domain), and system imaging tools.
• Experience with IT asset management tools and inventory systems.
• Familiarity with patch management, antivirus updates, and security best practices.
• Good understanding of printer/network printing and meeting room technology (casting/display setup).
• Ability to document and maintain technical procedures and support guides.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

• Certifications preferred:

  CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation.
