Designing & Estimation Engineer

KRA:

1. Requirement Gathering & Solution Architecture

• Interact with clients to understand business, technical, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site surveys (physical or remote) to assess infrastructure readiness.
• Translate requirements into high-level and low-level design documents.

2. Data Centre Solution Designing

• Design end-to-end data centre architecture, including power and cooling.
• Incorporate redundancy, scalability, and energy efficiency in designs.
• Ensure designs adhere to industry standards like Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and ISO/IEC 27001.

3. Technical Estimation & BOQ Preparation

• Develop accurate cost estimates and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) for proposed solutions.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and procurement teams for pricing validation.
• Provide pricing models for CAPEX/OPEX scenarios.

4. RFP/RFQ Response & Proposal Support

• Analyze RFP/RFQ requirements and prepare technical responses accordingly.
• Collaborate with Bid Management and Sales teams to structure winning proposals.
• Create solution documentation including SOWs, compliance matrices, and assumptions.

5. Technology Evaluation & Vendor Engagement

• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve solution effectiveness and cost efficiency.
• Work with OEMs and technology partners for solution validation and updates.
• Maintain a library of approved configurations and pricing templates.

6. Internal Coordination & Handover

• Work with Presales, Sales, and Project Delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of design and costing
• Participate in internal technical reviews and risk assessments.
• Provide post-sale technical support during the transition phase.

7. Documentation & Standards Compliance

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of design standards, estimation templates, and reusable components.
• Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and compliance guidelines.
