Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Pump Designer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in designing centrifugal and submersible pumps. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in hydraulic and mechanical design, and be proficient with industry standard design tools and methodologies. This role plays a key part in the product development lifecycle, from concept to final production, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design and develop centrifugal and submersible pumps to meet performance, efficiency, and reliability targets

 Perform hydraulic calculations for pump sizing, head, flow rate, and system compatibility

 Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of pump components including impellers, volutes, motor housings, shafts, seals, and bearings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD)

 Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design documentation

 Collaborate with the R&D and testing team to develop prototypes and conduct performance testing and validation  Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards such as ISO 9906, API 610, BIS, etc.

 Address field feedback and service data to improve existing designs and develop upgraded versions

 Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness

 Support failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation for design-related issues

Key Requirements:

 4–5 years of dedicated experience in designing centrifugal and submersible pumps

 Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pump hydraulics, and mechanical component design  Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD

 Good knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (especially casting), tolerances, and surface finishes

 Experience in pump performance testing and validation is highly desirable

 Familiarity with industry standards like ISO, API, BIS, and other relevant norms

 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

 Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or ERP systems

 Knowledge of sealing systems, motor-pump integration, and vibration analysis
