Design Engineer Greater Noida, India Permanent Role Role And Responsibilities Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software to design prototypes. To create 2D and 3D drawing specifications in line with the needs and requirements. Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications. Perform design and production trials. Participate in design reviews of mechanical systems and prototypes. Review and approve documentation for quality and safety. Design 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components using CREO. Perform basic simulations (static, motion, and thermal if required) to validate designs. Collaborate with the R&D and Production teams to understand product requirements. Participate in prototype development and design reviews. Create BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical documentation. Revise designs based on test results, feedback, and functional requirements. Ensure designs comply with industry and customer standards, particularly in the railway and bridge product domains Good understanding of Sheet Metal material manufacturing process like CNG, Bending, Welding, Cutting & Assembly. Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems. Sampling different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances, and other factors to find the best ones that suit the new product brief. Fine-tuning designs until they are ready for production. Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team for production purposes. Analyzing existing products to identify areas for improvement and updating current documentation. Qualifications Requirements B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design using CREO (Fresher with strong CREO skills may also be considered). Good understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. Basic knowledge of simulation tools within CREO or any integrated CAE module. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Skills Prior experience in railway, rubber, or structural component design. Familiarity with GD&T, tolerancing standards, and engineering drawings. Knowledge of other design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus. Good communication and documentation skills. Show more Show less
