Job Summary
Will be a part of global engineering team and will be working with the global Order Engineering team on regular orders related to products – Pumps, Valves and SSHE (Scraped Surface Heat exchanger). The customer orders are always on high priority; hence expectation is to have a quick response for any given order with highest quality metrics for deliverables and without compromising on On-Time Delivery (OTD) time.Looking for candidates having good hands-on expertise on the CAD tools. Should be a good team player and need to be focused, result oriented and self-motivated. Should be flexible on working on different products. Should be open to work on different type of orders and activities within the team. Engineer should be in look out for the improvisation of the process and take up initiatives to enhance the productivity and quality.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Shall be working closely with global order engineering team and assisting them in executing the orders in preparing customer approval drawings, BOMs, CAD support and addressing customer requirements.
- Should have complete knowledge of life-cycle engineering of any product from order booking to product shipment.
- Should be able to understand the Quote/Purchase Order/Sales Order from the customer service team and execute the technical aspects of that order.
- Shall be responsible for executing the configurable orders and engineered orders using Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and SAP.
- Quality metrics, on-time delivery and zero scrap losses of the orders are of utmost priority.
- To be a good team player, quick learner and flexible with business needs.
- Focused on continuous improvement like eliminating the wastages, creating documents related to guidelines/procedure.
- Should be able to prioritize assignments, planning, maintaining the error logs, trackers, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Should have very good command of CAD tools; must have good expertise in Autodesk Inventor in 3D and AutoCAD in 2D software tools.
- Prior knowledge and working on PDM software are desirable. Autodesk Vault and SAP or any other ERP tools are preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ASME Y14.5 2009/18 and Tolerance stack-up analysis is an added advantage.
- Looking for someone who has worked hands-on on Order Engineering/ Order Processing/ Life Cycle Engineering of OEM products.
- Should have good hands-on on best practices of design and drafting on Metric and English standards per the ASME/ISO standards.
- Prior experience in any kind of rotary equipment industry like Pumps (Rotodynamic and Positive Displacement), compressors, and Motors, etc. are highly preferred.
- Prior experience in heat exchangers like PHE and SSHE are preferred.
- Prior experience in Hygiene standard like 3A, ASME BPE, EHEDG, etc., is preferred but not mandatory.
- Some knowledge on machine shop floor/assembly floor would be an added advantage.
- Should be able to work independently/ with minimum guidance.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Education And Experience
- B.E/B.Tech. in Mechanical / Industrial / Automotive with 5-7 Years’ experience.
