Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance & Product Safety Engineer with deep expertise in ATEX , EMC , and global product certification standards . This role requires a strategic thinker and technical leader who can advocate for best practices, train teams, and drive compliance across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will also possess strong project management capabilities to ensure timely and accurate execution of regulatory and compliance initiatives across global teams. Principle Duties And Responsibilities Lead ATEX-related compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulations for products intended for potentially explosive atmospheres. Partner with design, product support, and notified bodies throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure compliance with: EMC/EMI standards UL, LV, CE EU Machinery Directive Manage all aspects of the certification process , including Submitting samples and documentation Technical liaison with notified bodies Certification tracking and renewal Perform technical design reviews, identify gaps, and recommend necessary changes for regulatory compliance. Create and maintain compliance documentation, including technical manuals and datasheets. Oversee the impact of engineering changes, feature additions, or product variants on certifications. Track regulatory changes and communicate their impact on existing and new products. Lead or support internal and external compliance audits. Conduct risk/ignition hazard analysis and perform gap analysis between old and updated standards. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Expertise in ATEX , EMC , UL , Low Voltage , and Machinery Directive standards. Solid foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and meet certification timelines. Familiarity with CE Marking and global conformity standards (IEC, EN, UL, ISO). Skilled in troubleshooting technical/regulatory issues and offering actionable guidance. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Comfortable presenting technical findings to stakeholders and external bodies. Experience in preparing and reviewing detailed technical documentation. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. 10–12 years of experience in product safety, compliance, and regulatory certification.
