Role Overview -

Design Engineer (Electrical)

electrical design, engineering analysis, technical documentation, and coordination with cross-functional teams

Key Responsibilities :-

• Carry out site assessments, feasibility studies, and power evacuation planning for solar projects
• Perform PV engineering activities such as

  energy generation estimation, shading analysis, plant layout development, and pitch optimization

• Execute complete

  DC and AC electrical system design

  , including string sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, protection systems, grounding, and earthing
• Design and review

  electrical systems for substations

  (11kV–132kV), including transformers, switchgear, VCBs, CTs, and PTs
• Prepare and review

  GA drawings, BOQs, DPRs, technical specifications, and engineering documentation

• Ensure designs comply with

  IEC, IS, and BIS standards

  , and provide support during FAT and SAT activities
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, procurement, business development, and project execution teams on technical matters
• Support design optimization for

  cost efficiency, safety, and performance

• Assist in guiding junior engineers and ensuring timely delivery of design outputs

Skills & Technical Expertise :-

• Practical experience with

  PV*Sys

  for energy modeling and performance simulation
• Strong proficiency in

  AutoCAD (2D/3D)

  for electrical and solar layouts
• Good understanding of

  electrical load analysis, data collection, and system calculations

• Familiarity with

  electrical safety practices and applicable solar design standards

• Proficiency in

  MS Office

  ; working knowledge of

  SketchUp

  is an added advantage

Qualifications & Experience :-

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

• 5+ years of relevant experience

  in

  Solar EPC or Solar Engineering Consultancy

• Hands-on experience in

  electrical design for rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects

• Strong understanding of

  solar PV electrical systems and grid interconnection requirements
