Design & Development : Senior Engineer

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED  In-depth knowledge of ball valve and butterfly valve design principles.  Understanding of torque characteristics, flow coefficients (Cv), and pressure drops.  Experience with valve actuation systems (manual, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic).  Selection of metals, elastomers, and coatings for various fluids (corrosive, abrasive, high-temp, etc.).  Knowledge of compatibility (chemical resistance, wear, fatigue) under different process conditions.  Capacity to conceive & implement innovative ideas to enhance valve performance, reliability, efficiency, & safety.  Proficient with design tools SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP/SAP packages, ASME/API/EN codes & standards.  Proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively lead design projects, allocate resources, set milestones, and manage timelines.  Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts and design requirements to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.  Sound Knowledge of process industry, basic metallurgy & heat treatment, PTFE / O-rings, plating/coatings and valves are considered as an asset.  Agile way of working & methodical approach and an eye for detail engineering  Capable of working independently and willing to make decisions based on sound engineering practice/judgement ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Create comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical reports that facilitate smooth transition from design to manufacturing. (Ball valve & Butterfly Valves). Assist in performing design calculations related to pressure, flow, materials, and structural integrity of the valves.  Utilize engineering software and simulations to analyze and validate designs, ensuring they can withstand operational conditions and meet industry standards.  Creating detailed design specifications, conducting engineering analysis, and ensuring that designs meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing, to ensure that design projects are aligned with overall business goals & smoothly transition into production.  Oversee the creation of prototypes for new valve designs and coordinate testing to evaluate their performance under various conditions. Analyze test results and iteratively refine designs as needed.  Identify potential design risks and work to mitigate them through thorough analysis, testing, and collaboration with other teams.  Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to select appropriate materials and components for new designs, considering factors like quality, availability, and cost.  Continuously review and improve design & development processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Provident Fund Schedule: Rotational shift Supplemental Pay: Commission pay Yearly bonus Work Location: In person
