Job Description:– Manager / Deputy Manager – Quality (Plant Operations) Department: Quality Assurance / Manufacturing Excellence Reporting To: Plant Head – Quality Role Overview:-The role is responsible for driving quality sustenance and improvements across plant manufacturing processes by reviewing the SDCA cycle, deploying Mahindra Quality System (MQS) guidelines, and building a strong quality culture at the shop floor level. The position also ensures compliance with statutory norms, manages audits and certifications, and spearheads infrastructure and process improvements to meet future business challenges. Key Responsibilities:-Quality Sustenance & Improvements Review the SDCA cycle for sustaining and improving effectiveness in manufacturing processes. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to strengthen the Quality Management System (MQS). Identify and evaluate risks of non-conformance during the process and drive corrective & preventive measures. Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and deploy process quality enhancement initiatives. Quality Culture Deployment Build and sustain a Quality Culture within the plant by implementing robust auditing and monitoring mechanisms. Deploy Mahindra quality guidelines (QCRT / NOVA C / End Line Testing) effectively at the shop floor. Provide leadership in line-level quality culture deployment and ensure employee involvement in quality practices. Compliance & Certification Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to products manufactured in the plant. Liaise effectively with certification and regulatory agencies, ensuring smooth handling of audits and renewals. Monitor and implement measures for plant infrastructure and process readiness to meet evolving regulatory and market requirements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Analyze and report overall process status, identifying gaps and implementing action plans. Review process execution adherence against standards and provide feedback for improvements. Drive data-based decision making through regular quality reviews and dashboards. Desired Candidate Profile Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering. Experience: 6–12 years in Plant Quality / Manufacturing Quality in the Automotive, Tractor, or Engineering Manufacturing industry. Certifications: Exposure to ISO/TS 16949, IATF, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent preferred. Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems (MQS) and SDCA cycle. Knowledge of process audits, end-line testing, and risk evaluation frameworks. Excellent skills in quality tools like FMEA, SPC, CAPA, 7 QC Tools. Ability to manage certification agencies and statutory compliance. Strong leadership in building quality culture at plant and shop-floor level. Analytical mindset with problem-solving and continuous improvement orientatio
