About The Role
Deputy Manager - Corporate Development is a high-impact role that will offer deep exposure to investor relations, fundraising, and capital markets strategy. You will work closely with Meesho’s leadership team and cross-functional partners tosupport strategic initiatives, shape external communications, and help drive the company’s journey toward a potential public listing.The role also involves direct engagement with institutional investors and market stakeholders, offering a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to one of the most exciting capital market stories in India. It is well suited for someone with strong financial grounding, structured communication skills, and a bias for action in dynamic environments.
What You Will Do
- Lead Meesho’s investor relations efforts by preparing high quality materials including investor presentations, quarterly updates, board decks, and FAQs.
- Manage regular engagement with investors, analysts, and other market stakeholders to ensure transparent and consistent communication.
- Support equity fundraising processes, including investor outreach, data room management, diligence coordination, and narrative building.
- Track and benchmark company performance against industry peers, using insights to inform investor messaging and strategic positioning.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Finance, Legal, and Business to drive IPO preparedness, including governance, process setup, and disclosure readiness.
- Contribute to post-listing investor relations responsibilities such as earnings communication, regulatory filings, investor days, and capital markets engagement.
- Build and maintain a strong network across venture capital firms, investment banks, public market investors, and founders to stay current on market sentiment and opportunities.
- Monitor public market trends, investor behaviour, and macro developments to inform proactive communication strategies.
- Develop and maintain business and valuation models to support investor narratives and long-term capital markets strategy.
- Provide limited support on strategic initiatives, including preliminary evaluation of M&A and partnership opportunities.
What You Will Need
- 1.5–3 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, corporate development, venture capital, or management consulting
- Strong command over core financial concepts and ability to translate financial performance into compelling narratives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, structure, and tone appropriate for investor audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain a high degree of accuracy under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools; experience with automation or AI platforms is a plus
- Prior exposure to e-commerce, consumer internet, or public market-facing roles is preferred
- High ownership mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
