Deposit Operations – Senior Research Analyst

Role Summary

The Senior Research Analyst will oversee key Deposit Operations and Payments functions, ensuring control adherence, SLA compliance, and delivery quality across reconciliations, payments, and reporting.

The role involves managing complex exceptions, reviewing analyst work, and acting as a coordination point with onshore client teams.

Key Responsibilities

Review and sign-off on daily reconciliations and certification reports prepared by analysts.
Oversee ACH, wire, and check-processing queues; ensure timely posting, approval routing, and exception resolution.
Manage overdraft monitoring, Reg O reviews, and dormant-account administration.
Supervise government-reporting activities — 1099-INT, 1042-S, W-8BEN, B-Notices — ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Conduct QA and control testing, track defects, and recommend process-improvement measures.
Support AML and sanctions-screening reviews, coordinating escalations with compliance.
Prepare MIS dashboards and audit packs summarizing daily activity, exceptions, and control metrics.
Provide guidance and training to junior analysts on deposit-ops procedures and documentation standards.

Skills & Experience

5–8 years of experience in banking or deposit operations, with exposure to payments, reconciliations, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of U.S. deposit-regulatory framework and audit requirements.
Hands-on experience in payment systems and reconciliation platforms.
Proven ability to review, validate, and manage high-volume operational workloads.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
