About the Role:

Database Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain
relational and NoSQL databases
to support business-critical applications.
Implement and manage
data migration and transformation
processes.
Optimize database performance through
indexing, query tuning, and normalization strategies
.
Implement and enforce
database security measures
, including user roles, encryption, and access controls.
Perform
database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) planning
.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Explore and adopt modern
cloud database services
to improve scalability and cost efficiency.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in
SQL
and relational databases (e.g.,
Oracle, SQL Server
).
Experience in
database design, normalization, and indexing strategies
.
Experience with
data migration and transformation processes
.
Hands-on expertise in
database security, backup, and recovery
.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with
NoSQL databases
(e.g.,
MongoDB, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB
).
Knowledge of
Azure or AWS cloud environments
.
Familiarity with
cloud database services
(AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in database engineering or administration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
