Job Description

Plan and implement database designs, including the creation and maintenance of cloud databases like SQL MI, SQL VMs, Azure SQL Databases
Manage and monitor performance, security, and availability of databases
Implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures like Always on etc
Work with development teams to optimize database usage and query performance
Maintain data integrity, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with data regulations
Coordinate and manage migration of databases to Azure platform
Provide technical support for database environments, including testing and installation of DBMS upgrades
Identify and troubleshoot any database-related issues
Document database policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure they are followed
Perform capacity planning and demand forecasting for database system
