Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage & optimize PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes.
  
• Ensure high availability, replication, and disaster recovery.
  
• Monitor and improve database performance & resource usage.
  
• Handle data encryption, masking, and access control (RBAC).
  
• Automate DBA tasks and integrate monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana.
  
• Troubleshoot issues like deadlocks, lag, and timeouts; perform RCA.
  
• Collaborate with developers for schema & query optimization.
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a

  PostgreSQL DBA

  in production systems.
• Strong knowledge of

  replication, indexing, query tuning,

  and

  backup/restore.

• Experience with

  Linux, Docker, GitLab CI/CD,

  and

  Kubernetes.

• Proficient in

  data security, encryption,

  and

  performance profiling.

• Exposure to

  MS SQL Server

  or

  Redis

  is a plus.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of

  Terraform, Ansible,

  or

  infrastructure automation tools.

• Scripting skills

  in

  Python or Bash.

• Certifications like

  PostgreSQL Pro, AWS Database Specialty, or CKA.
