Data Visualization Engineer

.This role is ideal for a technically skilled engineer passionate about transforming complex data into actionable insights through intuitive visual storytelling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that help business users make informed decisions. The position emphasizes data-driven storytelling, performance optimization, and end-to-end development on modern data platforms. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly dashboards and data visualizations using complex datasets from multiple sources
- Build interactive visualizations and front-end applications that enable data-driven decision-making for end users
- Ensure dashboard design consistency and usability across the platform
- Create and maintain systems documentation and analytics code
- Debug applications, trace code, and resolve bugs efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data, improve quality, and meet reporting requirements
- Plan and execute system expansions to support growing analytic and product needs
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Visualization Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with analytical data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
- Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools such as Thoughtspot, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI (Thoughtspot preferred)
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, normalization, and SCDs
- Familiarity with JavaScript is a plus
- Ability to identify and resolve data modeling issues, implement schema best practices, and optimize visualization performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Desire to stay current with trends and best practices in data visualization
