Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Compose, develop, and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various business domains, aligning with enterprise data architecture standards.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to gather and understand data requirements, ensuring models accurately reflect business processes and needs.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify data sources, relationships, and transformations vital for effective data modeling.
• Apply Agility core practices throughout the data modeling lifecycle, encouraging iterative development and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data concepts into concise and understandable terms.
• Integrate new data models with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.
• Manage strategic partnerships with data consumers and producers to ensure data models meet evolving business demands.
• Conduct research and gather insights on industry standard processes and emerging data modeling technologies.
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks, contributing to a robust data governance framework.
• Actively engage and manage customers across various groups, building positive relationships and encouraging collaboration.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acuity in crafting data solutions that deliver tangible business value and support strategic objectives.
• Develop a culture of creativity and innovation in data modeling approaches, seeking out new and efficient ways to organize and present data.
• Consider sustainability awareness and its implications in data model design, promoting efficient resource utilization and responsible data practices.
  

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role with a good understanding of various data modeling techniques (e.g., relational, dimensional, NoSQL).
• Showed skill in Agility core practices, including Agile methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional analytical thinking skills with the ability to break down sophisticated problems and propose effective data solutions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong commercial competence and understanding of how data contributes to business value.
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation in problem-solving and data model design.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience with data integration processes and tools.
• Demonstrable ability to lead strategic partnerships and collaborator relationships.
• Experience in conducting research and bringing to bear insights for informed decision-making.
• Solid grasp of risk management principles as they apply to data.
• Demonstrated success in partner engagement and management.
